After experiencing Matriculation Fair for the first three days, i am super glad to declare myself to be an Arts student and proud to be one too! In terms of subjects and modules offered, Arts has certainly the most variety and most interesting modules you can ever find! It is a most welcomed break in the twelve long years where you have no choice but to stick to whatever subjects and topics that you are assigned to! my faculty allows you to choose whatever subjects u want to take! I tell you, you will be spoilt for choice simply because there are so many cool modules to take, but so little time!
Ok, that is my proud ramblings about arts fac in NUS... i just started bidding today, at exactly 930AM. The bidding affair is an exciting and out-of-the-world experience for first-timers like us who has never bought shares or cared about the shares market at all. Yes, bidding for modules in NUS is just like buying shares and monitoring the shares market. It also required a great deal of wit, precise timing and good strategy. Sounds cool eh? haha... But it's actually quite stressful when you don't know if you will get your modules... That's pretty scary.
For this semester, i have bid for Intro to Chi Studies, Intro to Jap Studies, Philosophy: Reason n Persuasion, Geog: Place, Environment and Society, and lastly, the first Jap lang module. Hopefully i can get all these modules! :)
