Updates.

Exams::

First paper, JS2213 Popular Culture in Contemporary Japan has been quite a stressful one. We gotta do each question in 30 minutes, and watch an anime for 25 minutes. So it was mad scribbling for me, racing against time to try and complete my paper. The anime shown was 'Captain Harlock'- Yeah, a 1977 anime, which I have never heard of it until 1 hr into the paper. *hur hur* All in all, it was an okay paper.

Going for CL2280 Basic Translation later at 5pm. Bringing 3 dictionaries, 1 textbook and all my lecture notes in. Kiasu huh. Haha... I am quite confident about the paper, hopefully I can do it well.

Friends::

Louis has gone into a hiatus from blogging, and basically from his social world. "To take a break and sort things out in myself"- That's what I gathered from a 1-hr plus phone convo with him. Alrighty then, just take care of yourself! (=

Anyway, is Leslie in Aussie now? I couldn't quite fathom his 2nd last post. Leslie, haven't seen ya for long time. お元気ですか！

Shopaholic me::

I tried restraining myself from shopping for about two weeks. I succeeded. And out of glee, I went shopping. After my first exam, I went Orchard; bought two undies ($14.40) from Topshop, 1 pair of Old Navy shorts and Old Navy skirt each ($7 each) from a wholesale outlet at Lucky Plaza, as recommended by Kaijie. Total spent: $28.40. That's almost the amount I have been saving up for the past 1 wk. *grin* But I emerged a happy person. Retail therapy helps!

Health Concerns::

Just two nights ago I had the chance to 'practise' my translation by helping my aunt translate some slides about Breast Cancer Awareness from English to Chinese. Along the way, I got to know more about breast cancer too. She's doing something meaningful by educating women on breast cancer and being in the peer support group.

And, I am officially falling sick! Thanks to my bro and weiwei, who have been sick and hanging around me 24/7. (it's either my bro/weiwei) Now, nursing a s.o.r.e throat and flu. Great. Gotta drink more water (Jo's Water Diet!) and take Streps!
